About Us
The Limestone Coast ACC is one of 54 Area Consultative Committees established across Australia.
ACCs are non profit, community-based organisations funded by the Federal Government. Membership is voluntary and unpaid.
The LCACC's role is to facilitate change and development in the Limestone Coast Region.
The Limestone Coast Area Consultative Committee office is located in Mount Gambier which is in the South East of South Australia. We cover the region from Port MacDonnell up to Kingston in the South East, across to Bordertown and back down the Tatiara.
Regional Development Australia
The Australian Government is reviewing how it can effectively engage and service regional Australia. Therefore, the Australian Government's national network of community-based Area Consultative Committees (ACCs) have been asked to consult with all levels of their communities and provide feedback to help shape new programs for regional development and provded some advice on the role and structure of the new Regional Development Australia Committee's.

Regional Partnerships Program
Under the new Rudd Labor Government, Area Consultative Committees are in a period of transition to become Regional Development Australia by the 1st January 2009.
The Regional Partnerships programme has now closed for new and uncontracted projects.
- No new Regional Partnerships applications will be accepted by the Department and applications currently under assessment will not be considered for funding
- Applicants who were notified by the previous government that their project had been approved for funding under Regional Partnerships but do not have a funding agreement by the Australian Government are advised that any offer or expectation of funding (express or implied) in relation to the project on the basis of a draft agreement, or on the basis of any other approval or representation that funding will be made available, is withdrawn
- The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government will continue to fund those Regional Partnerships projects that have an executed funding agreement in place with the Government
- Requests for additional funding for Regional Partnerships projects with an executed funding agreement in place will not be considered
- Projects that have sought a Review of the previous Government's decisioin will not be considered
- Applicants will be formally notified by letter of the program's closure
